About
Hello, I’m
Dr. Lilit Pilossyan
Dr. Lilit Pilossyan is a board-certified rheumatologist committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals living with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Dr. Pilossyan is honored to serve the community that has shaped her both personally and professionally.
Dr. Pilossyan earned her undergraduate degree in Psychobiology from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she developed a strong foundation in the interplay between biology and behavior. She received her medical degree from St. George’s University, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana and Ontario, California. She then completed her fellowship in rheumatology at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), where she received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of rheumatic diseases.
Dr. Pilossyan chose rheumatology as her specialty because she finds it both intellectually stimulating and rapidly evolving, with ongoing research and advanced therapies continuously improving patient outcomes. Most importantly, rheumatology allows her to approach the patient as a whole person rather than focusing on a single organ system—an approach that aligns deeply with her philosophy of comprehensive, compassionate care.
During her fellowship, Dr. Pilossyan completed formal certification in musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSK US), an advanced imaging modality that enhances diagnostic accuracy and supports targeted treatment. She currently performs MSK ultrasound in-office to assist with joint evaluations, guided procedures, and more precise disease monitoring.
Her clinical interests include rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, lupus, osteoarthritis, gout, vasculitis, osteoporosis, and other autoimmune and inflammatory conditions. Dr. Pilossyan practices evidence-based medicine while also taking a holistic approach to care, viewing each patient as a whole person—not just a diagnosis. She integrates complementary and lifestyle-based strategies into treatment when appropriate, combining the best of traditional and integrative medicine to support long-term health and well-being.
Dr. Pilossyan enjoys running, reading, and spending time with her family.
